Yes!!!! You knew it!!! It’s time once again for Uncle Arthur’s Super Bloggers to meet on the threshold of the fourth dimension. We will take one more full step today toward becoming the Super Bloggers of the Future!!!!

We have no time to waste - ironically - we must reach the future before it just gets here on its own. I prepared you for this day by a precognitive dream sequence - and now you are ready! Today we discuss two most important areas for Super Bloggers 1) Ranking 2) FeedReaders. Why are they important??? You ask a very good question, anticipating my direction. Let’s start with Ranking.

Being at the top of rankings makes your blog site very strong against competitiors. Knowing how you stack up to the wannabes is a necessity if you you want to pass them strategically. So, here are some very good tools by which you can measure and track changes in your rankings: Technorati - is an internet search engine for blogs, it gives popularity and authority ranks, BlogTopSites - is a directory of the best blog sites, Alexa - gives traffic rankings and graphs, Live PageRank - will display your current pagerank Value in the Google index.

To establish a growing readership you need a feed reader. Feed readers allow you and your readers to get headlines and excerpts of important articles - hopefully they can read yours. Here are some first rate feddreaders: Google Reader/Homepage - a web-based RSS and News Aggregator, Bloglines - the web-based news aggregator set to your personal interestes, Newsgator - a free online RSS reader, NetNewsWire - an award winning RSS for the MAC crowd, Socialist - a social bookmark manager using del.icio.us and RSS feeds, FeedDemon - an RSS reader for Windows Desktop, NetVibes - a personal news aggregator using RSS and Atom, NewsFire - a MAC RSS with style, Omeo Pro - an all-in-one feed reader service.

Search engines demand content for indexing and ranking, and they prefer fresh and keyword rich content as much as possible to boost your placement on SERPs. Writing human visitors and search engines bots can be a real challenge. Using your keywords in the best possible way will keep your content interesting to your readers and search-friendly for search engines.

One of the best ways to get the most out of your keywords is to place them in the best ways. Of course you must first make sure you are using the best keywords, which means doing some research. The more exactly that these key words fit any given webpage, the better for your search results and the better your sales. Using keywords that are not relevant to the exact content of a particular page will cause visitors to look elsewhere for more specific content. This also shows search engines that your texts are not relevant for the readers of your content, which also lowers your position on the SERPs.

For openers make sure the exact same keywords appear in all tags and titles of a given webpage in the same way they were written into the headlines and texts of that page. Writing these specific keywords into the content is important - so be sure they appear in your headlines and texts.

Use good “long tail keywords.” These long tail keywords are phrases that have 3-5 keywords put together. You can list the individual keywords that would most often appear in a search.And long tail keyword phrases often rank better in the search engine than the most competitive single or double keywords. An example for “gardening supplies” keywords: garden,supplies,tools, etc. By adding other keywords like: discount,planting,fertilizer, implements, etc. could bring visitors searching the phrases: “discount gardening implements” or “spring planting tools and fertilizer”.

Also be sure to link to these keyworded pages using both internal and external links with the same content and keywords
- this will also help your SERPs.

You can write and submit articles to different online magazines that link back to your keyworded pages. Some of these magazines show you the link hit statistics so you can see what topics drive traffic. These articles generate visits and sales as well as helping your pagerank and SERP placement for the individual pages in your website.

Super-Bloggers Arise!!! Today we begin talking about Statistics (No, not sadistics!) and Creating Posts (No, not creating compost! - it’s really not funny, so be quiet). You might not feel like Super Bloggers yet - but in my hands I will create you as supreme Super Bloggers. We will focus on the ways of the fourth dimension and find the path of the future.

Statistics are very important if you want to measure your blogs growth and to know why it is a Super Blog - or why not. With statistics you can track your blog’s visitors, which will tell you what you have accomplished and what must be improved. There are some sites who have free meters or packaged statistics anayzers, and some of them are very impressive.

Here’s a list that can help you gain knowledge for your quest, peer now into the list: AWStats - is a free log analyser, normally already in your hosting panel, Statcounter(http://statcounter.com/) - free yet reliable web tracker, tells you returning visitors vs new visitors (one of Uncle Arthur’s very favorites), Sitemeter - a free basic counter and site statistics tracker, Google Analytics - a good interface with site stat, also integratable with Adwords campaigns, Feedburner - this can manage and track RSS feed readership, Mint - the extensible website analytics program, all on 1 page, 103Bees - a
search engine traffic analysis and statistics tool, pMetrics - a new performancing metrics with detailed visitor information and clean interface.

Creating Posts is very important. Your texts and articles are the things that will matter the most to readers. Now repeat what I just said to yourself (to yourself, not everybody you meet!). Make sure you spell check (this was once one of Uncle Arthur’s great downfalls, so learn from my mistakes). Super-Bloggers!!! Part 3 is today, and today is the first day of the rest of your life. Anyway, calm down and let your enthusiasm peak during the last half of this post, okay? What good is enthusiasm if you don’t know why you feel excited, right? This is an elemental teaching of the Fourth Dimension.

Let’s focus now on two areas of the Super-Bloggers very existence that can be considered crucial to being Super - or not so Super (it’s your choice really, isn’t it?). Research for blogging is done in several areas - and if you want Super-Blogger status then research really pays off.
