ColorWhore is another project dedicated to colours and their relationships. Though the name of the project is not so sweet as ColourLovers it’s still worth looking.
Just colours!

An interesting discussion on how many sketches, mock-ups (use the name you like most) should the designer represent to his client.
There’re many approaches… As many as designers actually. I believe though that true designer will represent the only variant which will work for the client’s business. There’s another point that the client may not like the represented solution this is the moment when a project manager should appear with his communication skills to explain why the represented design is the best even if the client feels unsure about it.
The point is that designers should not satisfy the client but clients of thier client.

BlueGelMedia’s web master appeared with an article at webpronews.com on web templates. Is there any competition between web designers and web templates providers?
The topic is not fresh and was discussed several times before with different forums. As far as I understand the situation designers have divided into two camps. Pro-templates’ designers who work pretty well with templates customizing them and Con-templates designers who reject the idea of web templates.
Which is good and which is bad? Nobody knows for sure…
After about three weeks off-Google Template Monster is back again!
It’s not with the first page for website templates as it used to be but it’s back already. Though nobody knows for sure what was the reason for banning them a huge number of the backlinks form their ready-made website templates shops (developed for affiliates) is to be considered the main reason.
This is about the template from Template Monster. Have a look at it and you will get what I’m talking about.

Though I’m not very satisfied with the content, I think there’s too many sections with a limited space but all in all it’s just an offer on how you site will look like. You are always welcome to customize it to your needs though the only thing which needs customization is content (from my point of view). As with this template you get not only a website but your company’s concept and business model (if you like).
The idea of ‘4 ways web design company’ with such a logo and site design developed to suite each other ideally inspires to build a business in a clear way which is determined by not only the name but logo and site design as well.
In short, the idea of ‘4 ways design’ is very productive by itself but Template Monster played with it in an extremely insipring way. Now it’s just a brilliant idea which will work of no doubt!
Or maybe it’s just too much coffee with my blood system???
Template Monster has released some templates for SWiSH on Monday.
The templates are here.
Official Press Release regarding it is here.
Template Monster is going to add SWiSH templates on a regular basis. This is really good news as SWiSH templates of good quality used to be a problem as far as I know.
I’ve run accros a fascinating in its simplicity though rather useful article here.
I think it’ll be of great use for those who are now ready to buy templates but is not much experienced and full of enthusiasm.
Guys, it’d be interesting to add 4 more sins to make it 10.
While browsing the web today I have found an interesting website: http://www.justwatchthesky.com that offers several free templates
They’re located at http://www.justwatchthesky.com/_clients/zaadz/
In fact there is only one template but in different variations: several different layouts and color schemes.
Personally I liked this one:
http://www.justwatchthesky.com/_clients/zaadz/template3.html
It’s very nice and stylish.
Geesh.com offers about 50 free templates (the only requirement is a link back to thier site).
It’s a forum actually (every template goes as a thread with preview and download options). If you are lazy to browse the forum looking for the templates, here’s the direct link for you.
The templates consist of one page (available in HTML only). *For W3C fans - code does not validate.* There are several categories. Most of the templates are with ‘Business’ category.
Geesh templates looks better than newzone’s templates… But web design is not only about design, right? I think that if Geesh and Newzone unite their efforts they would manage to set up a really cool resource of free templates as both of them have potential…
I’ve never thought about any colour in this way. Of course I have some favourites and some that realy irritate me… like any of you…
is the project that offers to deep into the emotions which colours appeal
