Just came across with Gordon Mackay’s project. He is an aspiring web dev from Scotland and he offers some really nice (and simple) templates with his site (blog).
The templates go with HTML, CSS and Macromedia Fireworks (PNG). CSS is perfect. Though there are some mistakes in HTML files they are not critical and can be fixed easily.

Hi James, can you show me where the mistakes are? Just so that people don’t have to fix them themselves.
I think this is a great site. It’s an amazing concept to review templates!

I came to your site accidentially, but found it very good to read. Thanks.

Hello Gordon!
It’s really great to see you with our blog and I’m glad that you liked the idea…
With your ‘birds’ theme you have ‘Test Code Purity XHTML | CSS’. CSS really validates and this is amazing but there are some mistakes with XHTML 1.0 if you follow the link with your template you will get them’ll. But I really think it’s no critical as you design for people not for W3C (I have some mistakes with my own blog and still have the button ‘Validates with…’ just have no time to fix the bug).
With ‘letterbox’ the links to XHTML and CSS are broken but the template validates.
Hope this will help.
